California High School Basketball - West Valley ripped by Foothill

January 13, 2024: Palo Cedro, CA 96073

The Foothill Cougars basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting West Valley Eagles to 23 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 18-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chico for a contest on Tuesday, January 16. Foothill will meet a Panthers team coming off a 73-63 league win over Red Bluff (Red Bluff, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 14-3.

With the defeat, West Valley moves to 3-15 on the year. The Eagles host University Prep (Redding, CA) to face the Panthers in a game on Wednesday, January 17. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 14-5. University Prep won 63-52 in their recent league game against Yreka (Yreka, CA)
