January 13, 2025: Greenwood, MS 38930 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Delta Streets Academy Lions (Greenwood, MS) and the visiting Tunica Academy Blue Devils (Tunica, MS), observed Delta Streets Academy's basketball team overwhelm Tunica Academy by a score of 77-34.
The Lions (11-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Manchester Academy (Yazoo City, MS). The Mavericks come into the MAIS 4A District 2 challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Manchester Academy was routed by Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS), 50-33, in a non-league challenge.
