Virginia High School Basketball - Steward held off by Virginia Academy

In Monday's non-league test, the Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA) basketball squad got by the visiting Steward Spartans (Richmond, VA), by a score of 68-61.

Next, the Patriots encounter the Springdale Prep Lions (New Windsor, MD) in a Metro Private test, on Tuesday, January 14. Virginia Academy will attempt to improve on its 11-6 season record. The Lions come into the test with a 17-3 record after their 84-73 league win over Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue (Lanham, MD).

The Spartans (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Norfolk Academy (Norfolk, VA). The Bulldogs come into the VISAA Division I test with a 4-6 record. In their last test, Norfolk Academy held off Christchurch School (Christchurch, VA), 62-41, in a non-league test.
