The Apache Junction Prospectors nipped the visiting Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils basketball squad by a final score of 38-31 in Monday's non-league outing.

Next, the Prospectors clash with the Seton Catholic Sentinels (Chandler, AZ) in a 3A Central outing, on Tuesday, January 14. Apache Junction will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Sentinels enter the outing with a 12-5 record after their 50-46 league loss to Valley Christian (Chandler, AZ).

The Dust Devils (2-8) will now prepare for their outing against Heritage Academy (Laveen, AZ). The Heroes enter the 2A Valley outing with a 2-9 record. In their last outing, Heritage Academy was nipped by Trivium Prep (Goodyear, AZ), 45-22, in a non-league outing.
