Louisiana High School Basketball - Ascension Catholic overwhelms St. James
January 13, 2025: Donaldsonville, LA 70346 The Ascension Catholic Bulldogs basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting St. James Wildcats to 29 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Monday.
The Bulldogs now have a 9-7 record. They play next when they host Ascension Christian for a 1A District 8 challenge on Tuesday, January 14. Ascension Catholic will battle a team coming off a 63-26 non-league win over Riverside Academy (Reserve, LA). The record now stands at 5-11.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the St. Michael Warriors (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. St. James will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 6-9 record after their 46-31 non-league loss to St. Joseph's Academy (Baton Rouge, LA).
