January 13, 2025: Cherokee, OK 73728 The Cherokee Chiefs (Cherokee, OK) basketball were winner over the visiting Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, OK), 42-27 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Chiefs now possess a 7-5 record. They play next when they travel to Waukomis for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 16. Cherokee will play a Chiefs team coming off a 64-29 league win over Pond Creek-Hunter (Pond Creek, OK). The Chiefs record now stands at 10-1.
With the loss, Buffalo falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Bison travel to Mooreland (Mooreland, OK) to play the Bearcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Mooreland lost 53-32 in their recent league bout against Merritt (Elk City, OK)
