Illinois High School Basketball - South Beloit triumphant over Hiawatha
January 13, 2025: South Beloit, IL 61080 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the South Beloit Sobos (South Beloit, IL) and the visiting Hiawatha Hawks (Kirkland, IL), observed South Beloit's basketball team overwhelm Hiawatha by a score of 54-28.
The Sobos (9-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Christian Liberty (Arlington Heights, IL). The Chargers come into the Northeastern challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Christian Liberty was routed by Cristo Rey St. Martin (Waukegan, IL), 45-40, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Hawks battle the Somonauk/Leland Bobcats (Somonauk, IL) in a Little Ten challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Hiawatha will attempt to improve on its 1-18 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 6-14 record after their 36-20 non-league win over Parkview Christian Academy (Yorkville, IL).
