The Apache Junction Prospectors (Apache Junction, AZ) basketball edged the visiting Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils (Eloy, AZ), 54-52 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Prospectors now possess a 2-9 record. They play next when they host Seton Catholic for a bout on Tuesday, January 14. Apache Junction will play a Sentinels team coming off a 53-37 non-league loss to Pusch Ridge Christian Academy (Tucson, AZ). The Sentinels record now stands at 1-3.
