Game Story

Arizona High School Basketball - Shadow Mountain fells North Canyon

January 13, 2026: Phoenix, AZ 85028

The Shadow Mountain Matadors basketball team scored 36 points and limited the visiting North Canyon Rattlers to 18 in the Matadors non-league victory on Tuesday.

Next, the Matadors clash with the Goldwater Bulldogs (Phoenix, AZ) in a 4A Skyline outing, on Wednesday, January 14. Shadow Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Bulldogs enter the outing with a 6-9 record after their 52-20 league loss to Thunderbird (Phoenix, AZ).

The Rattlers (1-8) will now prepare for their outing against Verrado (Buckeye, AZ). The Vipers enter the 5A Desert West outing with a 5-5 record. In their last game, Verrado was toppled by Canyon View (Waddell, AZ), 82-22, in a league game.
