Indiana High School Basketball - South Bend Riley holds off New Prairie
January 14, 2022: South Bend, IN 46613 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the South Bend Riley Wildcats (South Bend, IN) and the visiting New Prairie Cougars (New Carlisle, IN), saw South Bend Riley's basketball squad hold off New Prairie by a tally of 48-45.
With the victory, South Bend Riley improves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to South Bend Clay (South Bend, IN) to confront the Colonials in a Northern Indiana challenge on Thursday, January 20. The Colonials come into the challenge with a record of 4-9. South Bend Clay lost 67-54 in their recent non-league challenge against La Porte (La Porte, IN)
Next up, the Cougars confront the Oregon-Davis Bobcats (Hamlet, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 18. New Prairie will attempt to improve on its 2-10 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 54-43 non-league loss to Winamac (Winamac, IN).
