Connecticut High School Basketball - Valley Regional crushes Portland

January 14, 2022: Portland, CT 06480

Valley Regional Warriors (Deep River, CT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Portland Highlanders (Portland, CT), 54-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Valley Regional upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Warriors travel to Northwest Catholic (West Hartford, CT) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 15. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Northwest Catholic lost 57-34 in their recent non-league bout against Simsbury (Simsbury, CT)

Next up, the Highlanders play the Cromwell Panthers (Cromwell, CT) in a Shoreline bout, on Tuesday, January 18. Portland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 4-1 record after their 44-38 league loss to East Hampton (East Hampton, CT).
