New York High School Basketball - Amityville Memorial tops Wyandanch
January 14, 2023: Wyandanch, NY 11798 Amityville Memorial Warriors (Amityville, NY) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Wyandanch Warriors (Wyandanch, NY), 72-61 in a league bout.
With the victory, Amityville Memorial upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Half Hollow Hills West (Dix Hills, NY) to play the Colts in a Section 11 A-3 bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Colts come into the bout with a record of 1-1. Half Hollow Hills West won 70-60 in their recent non-league bout against Sachem North (Lake Ronkonkoma, NY)
Next up, the Warriors play the Hempstead Tigers (Hempstead, NY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Wyandanch will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 63-60 league loss to Farmingdale (Farmingdale, NY).
