Illinois High School Basketball - Illinois Valley Central nips Bureau Valley
January 14, 2023: Chillicothe, IL 61523 Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL), 64-58 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Illinois Valley Central upgrades its record to 4-15 on the campaign. The Grey Ghosts travel to Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL) to play the Saints in a Illini Prairie bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Saints come into the bout with a record of 14-6. Bloomington Central Catholic won 79-71 in their recent non-league bout against Quincy Notre Dame (Quincy, IL)
Next up, the Storm play the Mendota Trojans (Mendota, IL) in a Three Rivers - East bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Bureau Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 7-15 record after their 59-32 non-league loss to Ottawa (Ottawa, IL).
