Ohio High School Basketball - Margaretta nudges Genoa Area
January 14, 2023: Genoa, OH 43430 Margaretta Polar Bears (Castalia, OH) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Genoa Area Comets (Genoa, OH), 70-63 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Margaretta upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Polar Bears travel to Huron (Huron, OH) to clash with the Tigers in a Sandusky Bay - Bay bout on Friday, January 20. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Huron won 70-47 in their recent non-league bout against Norwalk (Norwalk, OH)
Next up, the Comets clash with the Woodmore Wildcats (Elmore, OH) in a Northern Buckeye bout, on Friday, January 20. Genoa Area will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 44-34 non-league win over Gibsonburg (Gibsonburg, OH).
