January 14, 2023: Selma, CA 93662 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Selma Bears (Selma, CA) and the visiting Independence Falcons (Bakersfield, CA), saw Selma's basketball squad overcome Independence by a tally of 68-53.
With the victory, Selma improves its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Sierra Pacific (Hanford, CA) to confront the Golden Bears in a Tri-County challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Golden Bears come into the challenge with a record of 13-7. Sierra Pacific lost 74-60 in their recent league challenge against Hanford West (Hanford, CA)
Next up, the Falcons confront the Ridgeview Wolf Pack (Bakersfield, CA) in a South Yosemite - Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Independence will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Wolf Pack come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 61-54 league loss to Bakersfield Christian (Bakersfield, CA).
