Illinois High School Basketball - Normal Community crushes Joliet Central
January 14, 2023: Normal, IL 61761 Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Joliet Central Steelmen (Joliet, IL), 68-35 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Normal Community upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Ironmen travel to Metea Valley (Aurora, IL) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 12-5. Metea Valley won 73-49 in their recent league bout against Naperville Central (Naperville, IL)
Next up, the Steelmen clash with the Lake Forest Academy Caxys (Lake Forest, IL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Joliet Central will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record. The Caxys go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 58-44 non-league loss to Plainfield South (Plainfield, IL).
