South Dakota High School Basketball - Northwestern Area trounces Little Wound
January 14, 2023: Kyle, SD 57752 The Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD) basketball crushed the host Little Wound Mustangs (Kyle, SD), 64-43 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (6-0) will now prepare for their test against Warner (Warner, SD). The Monarchs go into the B Region 1 test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Warner was trounced by Roncalli (Aberdeen, SD), 67-61, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Red Cloud for a A Region 7 test on Monday, January 16. Little Wound will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 70-57 non-league win over Custer (Custer, SD). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-2.
