New Mexico High School Basketball - Santa Fe Prep nips Mesa Vista
January 14, 2023: Ojo Caliente, NM 87549 Santa Fe Prep Blue Griffins (Santa Fe, NM) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM), 64-57 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Santa Fe Prep upgrades its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Blue Griffins host St. Michael's (Santa Fe, NM) to play the Horsemen in a 3A District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Horsemen come into the bout with a record of 11-4. St. Michael's won 54-52 in their recent non-league bout against Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM)
Next up, the Trojans play the McCurdy Bobcats (Espanola, NM) in a 2A District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Mesa Vista will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 5-10 record after their 61-50 non-league loss to Moriarty (Moriarty, NM).
