New Jersey High School Basketball - West Essex nudges Payne Tech
January 14, 2023: North Caldwell, NJ 07006 In Saturday's non-league outing, the West Essex Knights (North Caldwell, NJ) basketball squad edged the visiting Payne Tech Lions (Newark, NJ), by a count of 73-70.
The Knights (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against Belleville (Belleville, NJ). The Buccaneers go into the non-league outing with a 4-5 record. In their last outing, Belleville was tipped by Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ), 51-36, in a league outing.
The Lions now hold a 5-6 record. They play next when they host North Star Academy for a Super Essex - Liberty outing on Tuesday, January 31.
