Florida High School Basketball - Bishop McNamara crushes IMG Academy
January 14, 2023: Bradenton, FL 34210 Bishop McNamara Mustangs (Forestville, MD) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host IMG Academy Ascenders (Bradenton, FL), 67-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Bishop McNamara upgrades its record to 10-5 on the season. The Mustangs host St. John's (Washington, DC) to clash with the Cadets in a DCSAA bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Cadets go into the bout with a record of 12-5. St. John's lost 65-60 in their recent non-league bout against IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL)
Next up, the Ascenders clash with the Sarasota Sailors (Sarasota, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 19. IMG Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Sailors go into the bout with a 12-10 record after their 52-49 non-league loss to Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy (Melbourne, FL).
