The Menchville Monarchs basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Catholic Crusaders to 33 in the Monarchs non-league victory on Saturday.

The Monarchs now sport a 13-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Denbigh for a Peninsula contest on Tuesday, January 17.

The Crusaders (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Steward (Richmond, VA). The Spartans come into the TCIS contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Steward prevailed over Millbrook (Winchester, VA), 62-52, in a non-league contest.
