The Eastland Cougars basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Freeport Pretzels to 41 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cougars now sport a 14-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rockford Christian for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Eastland will battle a Royal Lions team coming off a 55-48 league win over Genoa-Kingston (Genoa, IL). The Royal Lions record now stands at 12-10.
