January 14, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87109 In Saturday's non-league outing, the Springer Red Devils (Springer, NM) basketball squad nipped the host Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy Eagle (Albuquerque, NM), by a margin of 43-42.
The Red Devils (11-3) will now prepare for their outing against Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM). The Trojans go into the A District 5 outing with a 4-5 record. In their last outing, Wagon Mound was tipped by Grady (Grady, NM), 47-31, in a non-league outing.
The Eagle now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to New Mexico School for the Deaf for a A District 7 outing on Tuesday, January 17. Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy will encounter a Roadrunners squad coming off a 48-18 league loss to Legacy Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Roadrunners record now stands at 1-3.
