South Carolina High School Basketball - Greer holds off Lancaster

January 14, 2023: Greer, SC 29651

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Greer Yellow Jackets (Greer, SC) and the visiting Lancaster Bruins (Lancaster, SC), saw Greer's basketball squad hold off Lancaster by a tally of 64-60.

With the victory, Greer improves its record to 15-4 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets host Powdersville (Greenville, SC) to confront the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 7-10. Powdersville lost 55-24 in their recent league challenge against Wren (Piedmont, SC)

Next up, the Bruins confront the Catawba Ridge Copperheads (Fort Mill, SC) in a AAAA Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Lancaster will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Copperheads come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 52-29 league win over York (York, SC).
