The Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) basketball felled the visiting Luella Lions (Luella, GA), 68-48 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Buccaneers (23-1) will now prepare for their test against Munroe (Quincy, FL). The Bobcats go into the non-league test with a 7-6 record. In their last test, Munroe thwarted Lincoln (Tallahassee, FL), 39-37, in a non-league test.

The Lions now own a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Hardaway for a non-league outing on Monday, January 16. Luella will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 79-33 league win over Shaw (Columbus, GA). The Hawks record now stands at 13-3.
