Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg Patriots (Mayville, ND) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting North Prairie co-op [Rolette/Wolford/Rolla] Comets (Rolette, ND), 53-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg upgrades its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Neenah (Neenah, WI) to play the Rockets in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Rockets come into the bout with a record of 15-1. Neenah won 74-31 in their recent league bout against Fond du Lac (Fond du Lac, WI)
