New Mexico High School Basketball - Moriarty overwhelms Socorro
January 14, 2023: Moriarty, NM 87035 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM) and the visiting Socorro Warriors (Socorro, NM), saw Moriarty's basketball squad wallop Socorro by a tally of 52-22.
With the victory, Moriarty improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Pintos host Robertson (Las Vegas, NM) to play the Cardinals in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 16. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a record of 15-1. Robertson won 82-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Zuni (Zuni, NM)
Next up, the Warriors play the Sandia Prep Sundevils (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Socorro will attempt to improve on its 3-14 season record. The Sundevils come into the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 38-35 non-league loss to Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM).
