Superior Wildcats (Superior, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Sandy Creek Cougars (Fairfield, NE), 55-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Superior upgrades its record to 12-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats host St. Cecilia (Hastings, NE) to play the Bluehawks in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Bluehawks come into the bout with a record of 13-2. St. Cecilia won 44-29 in their recent non-league bout against Kearney Catholic (Kearney, NE)

Next up, the Cougars play the Red Cloud Warriors (Red Cloud, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Sandy Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 38-24 non-league win over Giltner (Giltner, NE).
