New Mexico High School Basketball - Albuquerque Academy can't hold off Belen
January 14, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87109 The Belen Eagles basketball team scored 29 points and held the host Albuquerque Academy Chargers to 27 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Eagles now sport a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Pius X for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Belen will battle a Sartans team coming off a 100-3 non-league loss to Sandia Prep (Albuquerque, NM). The Sartans record now stands at 0-1.
The Chargers (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Valley (Albuquerque, NM). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Valley nudged Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM), 52-14, in a non-league contest.
