January 14, 2023: Garland, TX 75040 The crowd at Saturday's non-league test between the Garland Owls (Garland, TX) and the visiting Newman Smith Trojans (Carrollton, TX), saw Garland's soccer squad get by Newman Smith by a count of 1-0.
The Owls now hold a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to North Garland for a 6A Region 2 District 9 test on Tuesday, January 17. Garland will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Centennial (Frisco, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, Newman Smith drops to 1-5 on the season. The Trojans host Ranchview (Irving, TX) to meet the Wolves in a non-league test on Wednesday, January 18. The Wolves come into the test with a record of 3-4. Ranchview lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Ferris (Ferris, TX)
