North Carolina High School Basketball - Garner holds off Chapel Hill
January 14, 2023: Garner, NC 27529 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Garner Trojans (Garner, NC) and the visiting Chapel Hill Tigers (Chapel Hill, NC), saw Garner's basketball squad hold off Chapel Hill by a tally of 54-51.
With the victory, Garner improves its record to 10-5 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC) to confront the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 16. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Pinecrest won 61-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Hoke County (Raeford, NC)
Next up, the Tigers confront the Thomasville Bulldogs (Thomasville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Chapel Hill will attempt to improve on its 11-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 60-50 non-league win over Lexington (Lexington, NC).
