New Jersey High School Basketball - Scotch Plains-Fanwood can't hold off Montgomery
January 14, 2024: Scotch Plains, NJ 07076 The Montgomery Cougars basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders to 43 in the Cougars non-league victory on Sunday.
The Cougars now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carteret for a non-league contest on Monday, January 15. Montgomery will battle a Ramblers team coming off a 61-44 league win over Metuchen (Metuchen, NJ). The Ramblers record now stands at 7-5.
The Raiders (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Hillside (Hillside, NJ). The Comets come into the non-league contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Hillside was nudged by Science Park (Newark, NJ), 60-52, in a non-league contest.
