Ohio High School Basketball - Cristo Rey routed by New Hope Christian Academy
January 14, 2025: Circleville, OH 43113 New Hope Christian Academy Statesmen (Circleville, OH) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Cristo Rey Cougar (Columbus, OH), 73-39 in a non-league match.
With the victory, New Hope Christian Academy advances its record to 9-2 on the year. The Statesmen host Notre Dame (Portsmouth, OH) to face the Titans in a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. The Titans enter the match with a record of 7-2. Notre Dame won 58-32 in their recent league match against Green (Franklin Furnace, OH)
The Cougar now own a 0-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Academy for Urban Scholars for a non-league match on Thursday, January 16. Cristo Rey will face a Centurion Hawks squad coming off a 72-35 non-league loss to Patriot Prep Academy (Columbus, OH). The Centurion Hawks record now stands at 1-2.
