Arizona High School Basketball - Mesa nips Desert Vista

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Mesa Jackrabbits basketball team scored a close 71-68 triumph over the Desert Vista Thunder.

The Jackrabbits (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Dobson (Mesa, AZ). The Mustangs go into the 6A East Valley contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Dobson nipped Cesar Chavez (Laveen, AZ), 61-60, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Thunder battle the Brophy College Prep Broncos (Phoenix, AZ) in a 6A Central contest, on Friday, January 17. Desert Vista will attempt to better on its 10-7 season record. The Broncos go into the contest with a 10-6 record after their 66-40 non-league win over Valley Vista (Surprise, AZ).
