Next, the Bulldogs encounter the Luverne Cardinals (Luverne, MN) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 18. DeSmet will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Cardinals come into the test with a 6-7 record after their 84-80 league loss to Jackson County Central (Jackson, MN).
The Tigers (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Hanson (Alexandria, SD). The Beavers come into the non-league test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Hanson beat Parker (Parker, SD), 64-59, in a league test.
