Dyett Eagles (Chicago, IL) supporters left the game happy Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Thornwood Thunderbirds (South Holland, IL), 47-42 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Dyett advances its record to 14-4 on the year. The Eagles travel to Sherrard (Sherrard, IL) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 15-2. Sherrard won 56-37 in their recent league match against Monmouth-Roseville (Monmouth, IL)

The Thunderbirds now own a 8-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thornridge for a Southland match on Friday, January 17. Thornwood will face a Falcons squad coming off a 89-51 league loss to Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL). The Falcons record now stands at 4-12.
