Kentucky High School Basketball - Edmonson County knocks off Metcalfe County
January 14, 2025: Brownsville, KY 42210 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Edmonson County Wildcats (Brownsville, KY) and the visiting Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY), observed Edmonson County's basketball team overcome Metcalfe County by a score of 75-66.
The Wildcats (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Butler County (Morgantown, KY). The Bears come into the District 12 challenge with a 6-8 record. In their last challenge, Butler County dropped by Daviess County (Owensboro, KY), 84-77, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Hornets battle the Cumberland County Panthers (Burkesville, KY) in a District 16 challenge, on Friday, January 17. Metcalfe County will attempt to improve on its 5-9 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 57-54 league loss to Clinton County (Albany, KY).
