January 14, 2025: Wagner, SD 57380 The Wagner Red Raiders (Wagner, SD) basketball edged the visiting Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD), 41-40 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Red Raiders now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Parkston for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 16. Wagner will play a Trojans team coming off a 65-34 non-league win over Canistota (Canistota, SD). The Trojans record now stands at 8-1.
With the loss, Elk Point-Jefferson falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Huskies host Ponca (Ponca, NE) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 16. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Ponca won 40-26 in their recent non-league bout against Guardian Angels Central Catholic (West Point, NE)
