In Tuesday's league contest, the visiting Las Animas Trojans basketball team scored a good 53-33 win over the Rocky Ford Meloneers.

The Trojans (5-3) will now prepare for their contest against Swallows Charter Academy (Pueblo West, CO). The Spartans come into the 3A/2A Santa Fe contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Swallows Charter Academy defeated Kiowa (Kiowa, CO), 74-26, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Meloneers battle the La Junta Tigers (La Junta, CO) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Rocky Ford will attempt to move on its 0-10 season record.
