Illinois High School Basketball - St. Edward sneaks past Westmont
January 14, 2025: Elgin, IL 60123 The St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL) basketball edged the visiting Westmont Sentinels (Westmont, IL), 48-47 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Green Wave now possess a 8-11 record. They play next when they host Marian Central Catholic for a Chicagoland Christian bout on Friday, January 17. St. Edward will play a Hurricanes team coming off a 74-39 non-league win over Durand (Durand, IL). The Hurricanes record now stands at 6-12.
With the loss, Westmont falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Sentinels host College Prep of America (Lombard, IL) to play the Thunder in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 15. The Thunder go into the bout with a record of 7-11. College Prep of America won 66-52 in their recent non-league bout against Walther Christian Academy (Melrose Park, IL)
