Louisiana High School Basketball - False River trounced by Monterey
January 14, 2025: New Roads, LA 70760 The False River Gators basketball team (New Roads, LA), was ripped 69-18 in Tuesday's non-league bout with the visiting Monterey Wolves (Monterey, LA)
The Wolves now possess a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Glenmora for a B District 5 bout on Thursday, January 16. Monterey will play a Wildcats team coming off a 55-39 non-league loss to Reeves (Reeves, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-18.
With the loss, False River falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Gators host Louisiana School for the Deaf (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the War Eagles in a C District 7 bout on Thursday, January 16. The War Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-12. Louisiana School for the Deaf lost 34-25 in their recent non-league bout against North Iberville (Rosedale, LA)
