January 14, 2025: Normal, IL 61761 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) and the visiting Urbana Tigers (Urbana, IL), observed Normal University's basketball team overwhelm Urbana by a margin of 51-16.
The Pioneers (6-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Jacksonville (Jacksonville, IL). The Crimsons come into the Central State Eight challenge with a 1-19 record. In their last challenge, Jacksonville was trounced by Lanphier (Springfield, IL), 57-33, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Manual Rams (Peoria, IL) in a Big Twelve challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Urbana will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 69-37 league loss to Peoria Notre Dame (Peoria, IL).
