The Shining Light Baptist Academy Sharks (Monroe, NC) basketball were winner over the host Victory Christian Academy Patriots (Gastonia, NC), 61-47 in Tuesday's league game.

The Sharks now have a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Victory Christian for a NCCSA A West Region 1 game on Friday, January 17. Shining Light Baptist Academy will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 70-11 non-league win over Shining Rock Classical Academy (Waynesville, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 4-5.

With the loss, Victory Christian Academy falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Cornerstone Christian Academy (Statesville, NC) to confront the Crusaders in a CSAA game on Thursday, January 16. The Crusaders go into the game with a record of 2-4.
