With the victory, Lake Weir advances its record to 10-3 on the year. The Hurricanes host South Sumter (Bushnell, FL) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 15. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. South Sumter lost 83-72 in their recent non-league challenge against Eustis (Eustis, FL)
