The New Ulm Eagles basketball team scored 95 points and held the visiting Le Sueur-Henderson/Minnesota New Country Giants to 38 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Eagles now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sibley East for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 18. New Ulm will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 70-52 league loss to Glencoe-Silver Lake (Glencoe, MN). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-9.

The Giants (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Central (Norwood-Young America, MN). The Raiders enter the AA Section 2 contest with a 3-7 record.
