Indiana High School Basketball - Morristown can't hold off Rising Sun

January 15, 2022: Rising Sun, IN 47040

The Rising Sun Shiners basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting Morristown Yellow Jackets to 44 in the Shiners non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Shiners now sport a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Switzerland County for a Ohio River Valley contest on Friday, January 21. Rising Sun will battle a Pacers team coming off a 67-41 league loss to South Ripley (Versailles, IN). The Pacers record now stands at 5-8.

The Yellow Jackets (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against North Decatur (Greensburg, IN). The Chargers enter the Mid-Hoosier contest with a 6-6 record. In their last contest, North Decatur was nudged by Lawrenceburg (Lawrenceburg, IN), 49-39, in a non-league contest.
