The Blanche Ely Tigers basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Miami Country Day Spartans to 41 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cardinal Gibbons for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 18. Blanche Ely will battle a Chiefs team coming off a 42-39 non-league loss to Dillard (Fort Lauderdale, FL). The Chiefs record now stands at 12-3.

The Spartans (13-6) will now prepare for their contest against Ransom Everglades (Miami, FL). The Raiders enter the 3A District 15 contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Ransom Everglades was nudged by Gulliver Prep (Miami, FL), 58-54, in a non-league contest.
