The Burlington-Edison Tigers basketball team scored 81 points and held the host Mt. Baker Mountaineers to 54 in the Tigers league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Squalicum for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest on Tuesday, January 18. Burlington-Edison will meet a Storm team coming off a 73-26 league loss to Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA). The Storm record now stands at 1-3.

The Mountaineers (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Blaine (Blaine, WA). The Borderites enter the 1A/2A/3A Northwest contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Blaine triumphed over Sedro-Woolley (Sedro-Woolley, WA), 53-19, in a league contest.
