Maine High School Basketball - Wells fells Gray-New Gloucester
January 15, 2022: Wells, ME 04090 Wells Warriors (Wells, ME) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Gray-New Gloucester Patriots (Gray, ME), 57-39 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Wells upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Warriors host Old Orchard Beach (Old Orchard Beach, ME) to play the Seagulls in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Seagulls go into the bout with a record of 8-1. Old Orchard Beach lost 45-34 in their recent league bout against North Yarmouth Academy (Yarmouth, ME)
Next up, the Patriots play the Mt. Ararat Eagles (Topsham, ME) in a A South bout, on Tuesday, January 18. Gray-New Gloucester will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 7-3 record after their 59-50 non-league loss to Gardiner (Gardiner, ME).
