Minden Whippets (Minden, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting McCook Bison (McCook, NE), 62-48 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Minden upgrades its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Whippets travel to St. Paul (St. Paul, NE) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 18. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 12-2. St. Paul lost 62-54 in their recent non-league bout against Ord (Ord, NE)

Next up, the Bison play the Lexington Minutemen (Lexington, NE) in a B District 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 18. McCook will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Minutemen come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 35-31 non-league win over Alliance (Alliance, NE).
